Script theft case filed against ‘issued in public interest’

Nusrat Bharucha’s film “Janhit Mein Jaari” had come into the limelight even before its release. Now a new controversy has emerged regarding the script of this film.

Jeetendra says that the story of ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ has been stolen from his script. However, while talking to ETimes, Raaj Shaandilyaa has completely denied these allegations of Jeetendra. Jitendra Gyanchandani (Jitendra Gianchandani) has claimed that he co-wrote the story titled ‘Condom Pyaar Ki Pehli Short’ with Gautam Prasad Shaw and it was also registered with the Screen Writers Association in 2019.

Know what the author Jeetendra has to say

Jitendra has revealed that, “Gautam had registered this script in his name in 2017. I was given a story from a director to make it even better. In 2019, that director liked my story. He called Gautam and me to work together. We jointly registered the story in October 2019. But Gautam gave the story to Raj in June 2020 and then Shaandilyaa announced the film ‘Janhit Mein Jalai’ in November 2020.

Jeetendra’s fight is not with the writer but with the director

Jitendra has said that he has filed a case with Versova Police and SWA along with another complaint, which he is waiting for hearing. He also revealed that his co-writers are not with him in his fight against Shaandilyaa for copyright infringement. Talking about this, Jeetendra also said that, “There are many aspiring writers who do not have any resources to fight the wrong practices started in the Bollywood fraternity by established production houses.”

When ETimes contacted Raaj Shaandilyaa, the writer and director of “Release in Public Interest”, he rubbished all the allegations leveled against him and said, “We have already responded to them with legal notices and for your information Would like to say that our story was recorded in 2017. Now anyone can come and claim anything about this story today, but there is no truth in it.”
