ICAI has requested that the penalty for filing tax audit reports and other reports/certificates for the assessment year 2021-22 by 31st March 2022 should be waived. The last date for submission of audit reports for the assessment year 2021-22 is January 15.

ICAI said in a release on Sunday that due to the pandemic, difficulties are being faced in finalizing the data for preparation of audit reports. The release said that in the absence of Form No. 3CEB and difficulties in filling forms like 10C and 10B still persist.
