Now after getting relief from Supreme Court Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is going to conduct its elections soon. These elections will decide whether Sourav Ganguly and jay shah Whether the existing office bearers will get the benefit of relief from the Supreme Court or not. According to reports, the BCCI will organize its Annual General Meeting next month on October 18, in which elections will be held along with discussions and updates on many issues. Apart from this, there can be a big announcement in this AGM on women’s IPL as well.

According to the report of the English newspaper Times of India, the secretary of the board, Jay Shah, sent a letter to all the state associations, in which information about the conduct of the AGM on October 18 and the topics to be raised in it. This will be the 91st AGM of the board. The last annual meeting was held in December 2021. The agenda ranges from updates on the women’s IPL to the selection of the BCCI representative in the ICC, but the subject that is getting the most attention is the election of board officials.

Jay Shah will get BCCI chair

The tenure of officials like current President Sourav Ganguly, Secretary Jay Shah, Treasurer Arun Dhumal is over, but after the Supreme Court recently allowed changes in the BCCI constitution, the way for another term was cleared. So, the way for the re-election of the current board officers is almost clear, but most of the eyes are on the post of chairman. Will Ganguly contest for the post of president again or will Jay Shah stake claim for it?

Recent reports claimed that most of the state associations want to see Jay Shah taking over the responsibility of the board president and believe that this is the right time for him to take over the reins of the board.
