JEE Main, NEET 2021: NTA changes time-breaker rule, will affect NEET and JEE results

JEE Main, NEET 2021: Due to Corona, many changes were made in JEE and NEET exams this year. Now the National Testing Agency (NTA) has also changed the rules for preparing the result. Till now, NTA used to prepare results according to a tie-breaker rule. Under which, if more than one student got equal number, preference was given to the candidate whose age was more. However, this rule has been changed in the NEET 2021 and JEE Main 2021 information brochures released this year.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made a major change in the entrance exam for admission in medical and engineering this year. The agency has removed the provision of giving preference to older candidates in the rank list of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Earlier, senior candidates were given preference in the tie-breaker rule being followed by NTA, but now this rule has been removed.
