Kaif calls Shreyas Iyer’s return a plus point for DC

Explosive batsmen of Delhi Capitals Shreyas Iyer (Shreyas Iyer) is fit and sweating on the field with the franchise in the UAE. Iyer was injured during the England series in March, due to which he was ruled out of the series. He had to undergo surgery and could not even take part in the first leg of IPL 2021 played in India. But now he is ready for the UAE leg and his return has been reacted by the team’s coach Mohammad Kaif.

Shreyas Iyer’s return is a plus point

Team India’s aggressive batsman Shreyas Iyer could not take part in the first leg of IPL 2021 played in India due to surgery after injury suffered during the England series. But now he is all set for the UAE leg. Team’s assistant coach Mohammad Kaif described Iyer’s return as the biggest plus point for the team. They said,

“The team has not changed much as compared to the first half of the tournament, however the biggest plus for us is that Shreyas Iyer is back in the team. He is a fantastic player and he has been consistently doing well for us over the last few seasons. We look forward to seeing him play this season.”

Most of our players were playing international cricket

IPL 2021, which started in India due to Corona virus, was postponed indefinitely. But now in the UAE leg, the team of Delhi Capitals will be on September 22. Kolkata Knight Riders Will start her program once again with Mohammad Kaif said,

“There has been a big break after the first half of IPL but we are fortunate that most of the players are playing international cricket regularly. We have a well balanced team. There are players with international cricket experience and domestic players who are doing well. The first match is going to be important for us. Our performance in the first match will set the pace for us.”

“We played well in India and now we have to build on our performance here in the UAE. Compared to the first half of the IPL, the roles of some players may change as the conditions are different here. In the second half of the tournament, we have to start afresh. We are trying to get used to the conditions here and play some practice matches over the next few days.”
