India’s fast bowler Renuka Thakur has been in discussion about swing since her debut. His swing bowling has also been amazing against England.

The Indian women’s team created history by defeating England in the second ODI. Harmanpreet Kaur & Co won the second match of the ODI series to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. As much as the credit for this victory goes to Harmanpreet Kaur’s fiery innings, the same credit goes to Renuka Thakur, who has become a ‘swing queen’. (BCCI Twitter)

Renuka first bowled Sophia Dunkley on her superb inswing ball, which was able to score only one run.  After this, Emma Lamb became his victim, who became LBW. Renuka Singh made her debut in July last year and since then she has made almost every major team a victim of her swing.  Her swing was also seen in the Commonwealth Games where she became the highest wicket-taker.  Whatever sacrifices Renuka made in her life for sports, she is getting the fruits of it.  (BCCI Twitter)

This journey of success has not been easy for Renuka.  At the age of three, his father's shadow was lifted from his head.  Renuka's father loved cricket and the same qualities came in the daughter too.  Renuka left her home and family to take up cricket at the age of just 13 and went to Dharamsala from where her cricketing journey started.
