Mahafood RC Types

The Maharashtra government has separated the ration card into three categories to deliver the benefit of food items to all the residents of the state. Following are the three types of Mahafood RC

APL Ration Card: All citizens who live above the poverty line and have an annual income of more than Rs 1 lakh fall into this category. A white ration card is given to every family member in this category.
BPL Ration Card: This card is issued to all households residing in the state who earn between Rs 15,000 and Rs 1 lakh annually and who are considered to be below the poverty line. A yellow-coloured ration card is given to every individual in this category.
Antyodaya Ration Card: This group includes all households without any sources of income that are below the poverty level. This ration card is saffron in colour, and all individuals in this category are given 35 kg of food for Rs 2.
