Changed age limit for Maharashtra pre-primary admission, got big relief (symbolic picture)
Maharashtra School Admission 2022-23 age limit latest: There is good news for the parents who are preparing to get their child admission from nursery to class 1 in Maharashtra. The Government of Maharashtra has changed the age limit for admission from Maharashtra Nursery to Class 1 for the academic session 2022-23. There is relaxation in the minimum age limit. The official of Maharashtra Education Department has made an announcement in this regard on Tuesday, 21 December 2021. Along with this, the government has also issued a new circular.
As per the new circular issued by the Government of Maharashtra for Nursery to Class 1 Admission 2022 (Maharashtra Nursery to class 1 admission 2022), now the minimum age limit for admission in various classes will be as follows –
Maharashtra Nursery Admission 2022-23 : The minimum age limit for nursery admission in Maharashtra for the academic session 2022-23 is 3 years. If the child completes 3 years of age by 31st December 2022, then he is eligible for admission. That is, he must have been born between 01 October 2018 to 31 December 2019.
Maharashtra Junior KG Admission 2022 – For admission in Junior KG in Maharashtra schools, the child must have been born between 01 October 2017 to 31 December 2018. He should have completed four years of age by 31 December 2022.
Maharashtra Senior KG Admission 2022 – For admission in Senior KG, the age of the child should be at least 5 years as on 31st December 2022. That is, he must have been born between 01 October 2016 to 31 December 2017.
Maharashtra Class 1 Admission 2022 – If the child is to be admitted in the first class in the academic session 2022-23, then by December 31, 2022, his age should be 6 years. That is, he must have been born between 01 October 2015 to 31 December 2016.
These changes have been made only in the minimum age limit. However, no change has been made in the upper age limit. But it has been said in the circular that the upper age limit can be relaxed for Maharashtra Pre-Primary Admission 2022-23. It has also been said that no school will deny admission to any child because of age.
