Indonesia’s news website Kompas.com accordingWuling has showcased the Almaz Hybrid at the Indonesia Electric Motor Show 2022. The car is a strong hybrid car that packs a 2,000cc engine as well as an electric motor/generator system. Its 2.0L engine is capable of generating a maximum power of 134 bhp and peak torque of 175 Nm. It gets a hybrid automatic transmission, which is mated to two electric motors. The entire hybrid system together generates 174 bhp power and 320 Nm torque.
Wuling’s Almaz Hybrid will reportedly give a mileage of 22 kmpl. For this, the company will give a Li-ion battery pack in this car. The company also says that this car will also be able to run on only the battery pack, but the range will be very less. Exact range information is not given.
Now, let us tell you why this car could arrive in India as MG Hector Hybrid. MG’s parent company SAIC is part of SGMW. The MG Hector present in India is a rebadged version of the current Wuling Almaz. So, we can expect MG to launch the Almaz Hybrid with its badge in India in the near future.
