National Education Policy will be implemented soon in Uttarakhand, Dhan Singh Rawat said – Vedas, Gita-Ramayana will be included

Uttarakhand Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that the National Education Policy clearly states that the education policy should be based on Indian knowledge traditions.

Uttarakhand (UttarakhandNational Education Policy (NEP) will be implemented in primary education as well as in higher education from the academic session starting from July. During this, School Education and Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat (Dhan Singh Rawat) said that we are going to implement our national education policy from this session. Uttarakhand will be the first state in the country to implement it. The National Education Policy clearly states that the education policy should be based on Indian knowledge traditions. He told that the states can also decide their syllabus up to 30-40%. We will also include the history of Vedas, Geeta, Ramayana, Uttarakhand in our state in the syllabus. Also, taking the opinion of the public and academicians, they will be included in the curriculum.

Last month, Cabinet Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat held a meeting with the Higher Education and School Education officials. In which he said that from the first semester in higher education, the new curriculum will be implemented according to the National Education Policy. The committee of Vice Chancellors constituted in this regard has submitted its proposal. Consent was also taken from the Central Government on this. Now the new course will be approved in the meeting to be chaired by the Chief Secretary.

Let us inform that last month, Dr. Rawat said that the implementation of NEP in school education is being done from the new session. Pre-primary system is being implemented at the primary level. Bal Vatika will be started in five thousand Anganwadi centers running in primary schools. He said that DPC’s instructions have been given for promotion to the vacant posts of education officers, principals and headmasters within the next one month in the education department.
