National Mathematics Day: National Mathematics Day is celebrated every year in India on 22 December. This special day is celebrated on the birthday of Ramanujan, the great mathematician of India. Who has made an incomparable contribution in the field of Mathematics. For his contribution in the field of mathematics, the Government of India had announced to celebrate his birthday as National Mathematics Day. On National Mathematics Day, let us know who the mathematician Ramanujan was, how he achieved a position in the field of mathematics.
Srinivasa Ramanujan was born on 22 December 1887 in Chennai. Since childhood, he had a lot of love for maths, Ramanujan used to bring good numbers in mathematics. There was not as much interest in other subjects as there was for mathematics. He was so weak in other subjects except mathematics that he used to fail. But he was so much in love with mathematics that he made a different identity in this subject. After this, he started getting scholarships from schools for further studies. In just 12 years, he had mastered trigonometry.
At the age of 3 he joined the University of London Professor S. Ale. By reading Loni’s world famous book on trigonometry, he created his own mathematical theory. He composed many theorems at a very young age without any help. For this special contribution, the Government of India honored him with many honors. After this he wrote many new mathematical formulas. Srinivasa Ramanujan died on 26 April 1920 due to TB disease at a very young age (33 years). On 26 February 2012, the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh announced the National Mathematics Day on 22 December during the opening ceremony of the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the birth of Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan at the University of Madras.
purpose of celebrating this day
