Both former batsman Manoj Tiwari and former bowler Ashok Dinda joined the TMC and the BJP respectively before the Bengal elections. Where both of them won for their party and now they have become MLAs.

Manoj Tiwari played 12 ODIs, three T20I matches for India. In which he scored 287 runs and 15 runs respectively. Tiwari was last seen playing with the Bengal team in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy held in January 2021. After this, he chose the path of politics and now he is an MLA of TMC.
