Ola Electric Car to be launched on 15th August! India’s first sporty car and strong mileage

Indian app based cab provider and EV manufacturer Ola is all set to introduce its first electric car in the Indian market on the occasion of 75th Independence Day i.e. 15th August, 2022. Recently, Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal shared a post on Twitter, in which the company’s upcoming car is a teaser video. The company has already disclosed its plans to make electric cars in the coming time. Tweeted about this a few months ago. Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal posted that “Excited to announce a new product on 15th August! Will share more details on our big plans for the future soon!!”

Bhavish Aggarwal did not reveal much details about the upcoming product. In June 2022, Ola Electric released a teaser of the car, which showed slick DRLs with red overalls as well as the Ola logo at the front. It is expected to be a 4-door sedan, the teaser video reveals the front and rear of the electric car with a sloping roof line. This EV is likely to come with a battery with a longer range.

According to Agarwal, the upcoming Ola electric car will be “the sportiest car ever built in India”. Other details that have surfaced through the renders suggest that the electric car will be equipped with a unique tire design and a large glass roof.

The company is yet to reveal the specifications of the upcoming electric car such as power, range, battery and charging time. We will get all such information in the coming time. Let us tell you that Ola Electric is currently looking for 1,000 acres of land for setting up a facility for 4-wheeler vehicles. This factory will be much bigger than the existing factory based in Hosur, which manufactures the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter.<!–
