Now the excise duty has been reduced to Rs 19.90 and VAT to Rs 15.71. The dealer’s commission is Rs 3.78. There is a demand to increase it.
How is the tax on diesel divided?
Currently, the price of one liter of diesel in Delhi is Rs 89.62. In this, the base price is Rs 57.92 and the fare is Rs 0.22 after which it becomes Rs 58.14 for the dealers. Excise duty on this is Rs 15.80 and VAT is Rs 13.11. The dealer commission is Rs 2.57 per litre. There is a demand to increase this commission.
