Porsche has joined hands with Dutch company Ponooc Investment BV for this. For Porsche eBike Performance Gmbh, the company has said that it will focus on manufacturing electric bicycle parts, including the motor, battery and drive software. For this, the company will depend on the technology of electric bicycle maker FAZUA.
The drive technology that will be made by the company mentioned above will be implemented by another company named P2 eBike Gmbh. of Times Now Report According to reports, the chairman of Porsche eBike Performance Gmbh will be Jan Becker, who has previously been CEO of Porsche Lifestyle Gmbh and Co KG. The chairman of P2 eBike Gmbh will be Moritz Failenschmid, MD, Focus Bikes.
Lutz Meschke, deputy chairman of the executive board of Porsche AG and member of the IT and executive board of finance, said Porsche holds a lot of potential in the e-bike segment. Therefore, we are continuously increasing our activities in this area. The rationale for this move of the company also seems to be exaggerated at present as the electric vehicles market continues to grow and more and more people are switching to electric two wheelers such as electric scooters, electric motorcycles and bicycles.
