Prithvi Shaw and Ishan Kishan, who rocked the first match against SL, were completely flopped in the second match. After winning the toss, Sri Lanka decided to bat in the second ODI. Batting first, the hosts had set a target of 276 runs in 50 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. In this innings, Charit Aslanka scored 65 runs and opener Avishka Fernando scored 50 runs. During this, fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took 3-3 wickets from Team India.
Team India has touched the double figures by winning the last 10 ODI series against Sri Lanka, winning the second ODI with Deepak Chahar’s innings of 69 runs.
India’s 93rd victory over Sri Lanka
Not only this, Team India has achieved another big achievement by winning the second ODI against Sri Lanka. Yes, now India has become the first team to win the most 93 ODIs against the Lankan team. Earlier, both Pakistan and India were on equal footing after winning 92-92 ODI matches.
But, with the victory in the second ODI, the Indian team has become the team with the most wins in all three formats (Test, ODI, T20) against Sri Lanka. Pakistan is in second place by winning 125 matches against Lanka. So by winning 126 matches, India has come to the first place.
