If reports are to be believed, Punjab Kings has decided to make veteran Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan, popularly known as Gabbar, as the captain of the team. They can also make an official announcement soon. After the departure of the captain of the last two seasons, KL Rahul, the team was desperately looking for an alternative to the captaincy.

KL Rahul had taken the decision not to be retained
