Milk in Mid-Day Meal: Under ‘Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana’, children will be given milk in mid-day meal. This scheme was announced during the state budget.

Milk for Children in Rajasthan School: Rajasthan government has taken a big step to remove and strengthen malnutrition among children. Now government schools in Rajasthan (Rajasthan GovernmentMilk will be provided twice a week to the children of classes I to VIII. According to an official statement, the government is hopeful that with this initiative, the nutritional level of children, their enrollment in government schools and attendance will increase. The government hopes that by providing milk to the children to drink, their development will also improve.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had announced this during the budget of Rajasthan. The scheme of giving milk to the children twice a week has been named ‘Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana’. Under this scheme, children from class I to VIII will now be given milk twice a week. It will be implemented in government schools, madrasas and special training centers affiliated to the mid-day meal scheme. Children studying in these educational places will be given milk under ‘Mukhyamantri Bal Gopal Yojana’, so that their nutritional level can be improved.

Milk will be given on Tuesday and Friday

Additional Chief Secretary (Education) Pawan Kumar Goel said that under this scheme, about 69.21 lakh children studying in government schools will be provided milk prepared from milk powder on Tuesday and Friday. He said that if there is any holiday on these two days, then milk will be provided to the children on the next day. The Additional Chief Secretary said that 150 ml milk will be given to the children from class 1st to class 5th. At the same time, 200 ml milk will be given to children from class VI to VIII. Goyal said that powdered milk will be purchased from Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation.

This scheme of Rajasthan government will benefit lakhs of children who are deprived of milk at home. While coming to school, the milk provided in the mid-day meal will not only help them develop, but malnutrition will be tackled only.
