IT company Tata Consultancy Services ie TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan has resigned. The company has bank, financial service and insurance (BFSI) K Krithivasan, the global chief of the unit, has been nominated as CEO with immediate effect. Gopinathan will remain in this post till September 15 so that he can help K Krithivasan. The company said in a statement that after an illustrious career of 22 years in Tata Consultancy Services and working as MD and CEO for the last six years, Rajesh Gopinathan has decided to step down from the post.
K Krithivasan became the new CEO
TCS has designated K Krithivasan, the current president and global head of the BFSI business group, as CEO with immediate effect. According to the statement, the board of directors has nominated Krithivasan as CEO. His appointment will be effective from March 16, 2023. He will work with Rajesh Gopinathan for a smooth transition at the top and will be appointed as MD and CEO in the next financial year.

Gopinathan said in a statement that I have thoroughly enjoyed my exciting 22-year tenure at TCS. It has been a pleasure working closely with Chandra, who has mentored me throughout this period. The last six years of leading this prestigious organization have been most enriching and fulfilling. In the last 6 years, TCS’s revenue has increased by more than $ 10 billion and the market cap has increased by more than $ 70 billion.

have some ideas in mind
Talking about his future plans, he said that some ideas are in his mind. He further added that having worked with Kriti over the past two decades, I am confident that she is well-positioned to take TCS to greater heights along with the leadership team. I will work closely with Kriti to ensure that she gets all the support she needs.
