Doorstep Banking Services
State Bank of India (SBI) to its customers for free doorstep banking providing facility. This service was started during the Kovid-19 epidemic when people were imprisoned in their homes. Customers could not go to the bank, so the banks started the service of going to the customer’s house. Hence the name of this special service was given as Doorstep Banking Service. However, this facility is not available to everyone and one has to apply for it. Also, some fee has to be deposited as well. Senior citizens, handicapped, suffering from dangerous diseases, blind, account holders with KYC registration, single or joint account holders and people living within 5 km radius of the bank branch can apply for this service.
SBI has told in a tweet that 3 doorstep banking facility will be given to the disabled customers in a month. A video related to this has also been released in the tweet, with the help of which customers will be able to know about this service easily.
