The Rajasthan government has decided to reopen schools for students of classes 6 to 8. Here both government and private schools with 50 percent capacity will be opened for students of classes 6 to 8 from September 20. School activity for classes 1 to 5 will resume from September 27 with 50 percent capacity. The state government had started classes from September 1 for the students of class 9th to 12th.
In the guidelines, opening of morning prayer meetings and school canteens is not allowed. According to the ‘Three-Layer Public-Discipline 6.0’ guidelines issued by the Home Department, there will be a night curfew in the entire state from 11 pm to 5 am daily. This order will be effective from September 20. Now 200 guests will be allowed to attend weddings and other wedding related functions.
Government and private offices have been allowed to operate with full staff following the COVID protocol, which includes wearing of masks, using sanitizers and maintaining physical distancing.
More than 40,000 students enrolled in EDMC schools in a year
Over 40,000 children have enrolled for the new academic session in schools run by the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC), a senior official said on Thursday. EDMC’s education committee chairman Rajeev Kumar claimed in a press conference here that many of these students have left private schools and have taken admission in schools run by the civic body. For the new academic session, 40,033 students have taken admission in EDMC-run schools, Kumar said. He said that a large number of these students are those who have left private schools to take admission in the schools run by the EDMC.
He said that this shows the improvement in the quality of education being imparted in the schools run by the civic body. Kumar said, “Eastern Corporation is striving to provide quality education to the children at the primary level. And only 40,033 students have enrolled because of this commitment.”
