BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has written a letter to the state associations on the postponement of the domestic tournament. In which he has assured the state units that the domestic tournament will be resumed as soon as the Kovid-19 situation is brought under control. Ranji Trophy and domestic tournaments were postponed in view of the increasing outbreak of Kovid-19 in India. Sourav Ganguly wrote a letter to the state associations saying that domestic cricket had to be stopped in view of the deteriorating conditions of Kovid-19.
Sourav Ganguly gave this assurance to the state units
in India COVID-19 The cases are increasing continuously. In view of which the state governments are taking strict action. The third wave of corona epidemic has entered India. The Central Government and the State Government have started preparations to deal with Corona. The Ranji Trophy and the CK Naidu Trophy were to begin this month and the Senior Women’s T20 league was to be held in February, but all these tournaments have been postponed due to Corona. In a letter to the state associations, Ganguly said,
‘You are aware that we had to stop the current domestic season due to the worsening of the Kovid-19 situation.’
According to PTI, Ganguly said in a mail to the presidents and secretaries of all state units,
‘Kovid-19 cases are increasing rapidly and many positive cases were reported in many teams. This posed a health hazard to the players, officials and others involved in the running of the tournament.
Domestic cricket will start as soon as the Kovid-19 situation comes under control
BCCI President Sourav Ganguly made it clear on the domestic tournament that as soon as the corona graph will decrease. Similarly, efforts will be made to start domestic tournaments. Sourav Ganguly thanked the state units for understanding the situation of Kovid-19. Although BCCI is ready for the domestic tournament. Ganguly said that the board will do everything to resume the domestic season.
‘BCCI would like to assure that as soon as the Kovid-19 situation comes under control, the board will play an important role in the resumption of the domestic season.’
