Domestic stocks reached new highs on Friday, the last trading day of the week, due to strong signals from the global market. The Sensex managed to cross the 52,600 level in early trade. At the same time, Nifty also touched the record level of 15,835. Sensex reached a record high of 52626.64 due to the rise in heavyweights like Reliance Industries, Infosys and HDFC Bank. The Sensex has reached a record high after 16 February 2021.
At present, the Sensex is trading at the level of 52,600 with a gain of 300 points. While Nifty is trading at the level of 15,818 with a jump of 80 points. The biggest gain of 2 per cent in the Sensex came in PowerGrid. Apart from this, Reliance Industries, ONGC, HCL Tech, Sun Pharma, Infosys and HDFC also gained. On the other hand, Bajaj Finserv, HUL, Bajaj Finance, Titan and Tech Mahindra were trading in the red.
Investors got profit of more than Rs 1 lakh crore
Investors have benefited a lot from the record fast in the market. His wealth has increased by more than Rs 1 lakh crore in a few hours. The total market cap of BSE listed companies was Rs 2,30,23,915.63 crore on Thursday, which increased by Rs 1,14,811.19 crore to Rs 2,31,38,726.82 crore today.
During the business, along with the big stocks, there is a lot of buying in smallcap and midcap stocks. BSE’s Smallcap index is trading with a gain of 0.62 percent. On the other hand, the BSE Midcap index has gained 0.22 percent.
On Thursday, the Sensex was up 358.83 points or 0.69 per cent at 52,300.47 and the Nifty was up 102.40 points or 0.65 per cent at 15,737.75. According to provisional data of the stock market, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 1,329.70 crore on Thursday.
