Suryakumar Yadav’s bat is not producing the same innings in ODI format as it does in T20. The same was seen in the first ODI against Australia.

The Indian team started the ODI series against Australia with a win. In the first match of the series, they won by five wickets. The team’s star batsman flopped in this match, in which Suryakumar Yadav was also involved. Surya’s flop show in ODI format continued in this series as well. (PTI)

Due to injury of Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar was selected for Mumbai ODI. When Surya came to bat, the team had lost two wickets at the score of 14 runs. After Kohli's dismissal, Surya came to the crease and got lbw on the very first ball. Surya could not face a single ball and became a golden duck. (PTI)

Surya played some good innings after his debut in ODIs but then his rhythm deteriorated. The explosive batsman has not been able to do anything special in this format so far. He has scored only 433 runs in 19 innings of 21 matches at an average of 27.06. Only two half-centuries have come out of his bat. (PTI)

Talking about the last 11 innings, Surya has been able to touch double figures only four times. At the same time, no half-century has come out of his bat for the last 15 innings. His form in T20 is the opposite. Last year, he was the highest run-scorer in this format. (PTI)

If Surya has to confirm his place in this format, then he will have to play big innings, prove himself when given a chance. Till the time Shreyas Iyer is not fit, Surya has a chance to present his claim in this format as well. However, looking at his recent form, its chances seem slim. (PTI)
