Tension between Russia and Ukraine crashed the stock market, Sensex fell by more than 1700 points, investors lost 8.5 lakh crores

The tension between Russia and Ukraine is at its peak. Due to this tension, crude oil reached an 8-year high and touched the level of $ 96 during trading. Due to the rise in crude oil, the Indian stock market crashed today and the Sensex fell by more than 1700 points. Today the Sensex fell by 3 percent i.e. 1747 points and closed at the level of 56405. Nifty closed at the level of 16842 with a fall of 532 points. Today, only Tata Consultancy Services shares rose in the top-30 of the Sensex. The remaining 29 stocks registered a decline. Today, the biggest fall was recorded in the shares of Tata Steel, HDFC and SBI.

After today’s fall, the total market cap of BSE listed companies has come down to Rs 255.36 lakh crore. Last week the market cap of BSE was Rs 263.89 lakh crore. Investors lost Rs 8.53 lakh crore in today’s fall. Today trading was done in a total of 3670 stocks. 574 shares rose, 2977 shares closed down. Upper circuit in 256 stocks and lower circuit in 765 stocks.
