Chattogram: Bangladesh on Monday defeated Ireland by 22 runs in the first T20 match according to the Duckworth-Lewis method and with this they took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Bangladesh Ireland’s batsmen wreaked havoc on Ireland’s bowlers in this match and scored a strong score of 207 runs losing five wickets. Ireland was never in a position to win this match. When the match was stopped due to rain, Ireland had scored 81 runs in eight overs losing five wickets. This team was 104 runs behind the target.
Bangladesh team is showing great game in their home. Before Ireland, this team had defeated T20 world champion team England 3-0 in the three-match series at their home. India was also defeated by Bangladesh 2-1 in the three-match ODI series.

Ronnie Talukdar showed his strength
In this match, opener Ronnie Talukdar batted for Bangladesh. Ronnie had played only four matches before this match. He played an excellent innings in his fifth match and scored a half-century. He scored 67 runs in 38 balls with the help of seven fours and three sixes. He added 91 runs in seven overs along with another opener Liton Das. Das could not complete his half-century and was dismissed on a personal score of 47 runs. Craig Young made him his victim. Das faced 23 balls and hit four fours and three sixes. Then Najmul Hussain Shanto was dismissed after scoring 14 runs.
Ronnie’s wicket fell on a total score of 154. He was bowled by Gram Hume. In the end, Shamim Hussain scored 30 off 20 balls and captain Shakib Al Hasan scored 20 off 13 balls to help the team cross 200.

Taskin did a great job
Team bowlers after Bangladesh batsmen taskeen ahmed Showed the power of his balls and put Ireland in trouble. This bowler took four wickets in two overs. He spent 16 runs in these two overs. Apart from him, Hasan Mahmood took one wicket. Hasan got the first wicket for Bangladesh. Ross Eder became his victim who scored 13 runs. After this Taskin showed his mettle. He first dismissed Lorcan Tucker (1). Captain Paul Starling was bowled by Taskin for 17 runs. Harry Tector 19 runs and George Dockrell were dismissed without opening the account.
