On January 14, the Ministry of Power had issued guidelines and revised standards related to the installation of EV charging stations. This is likely to clarify the situation related to setting up of EV infrastructure.

These companies are working for infrastructure

The government has roped in public entities such as Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Energy Efficiency Service Limited (EESL), Power Grid Corporation Limited and NTPC as well as private companies in its effort to set up EV charging stations. This will help in creating the EV infrastructure base in a larger area and encourage vehicle consumers to switch to electric vehicles.
