The sixth day of the Commonwealth Games was mixed for India. On the one hand, where a big boxer like Lovlina Borgohain was out of the medal race, on the other hand India created history in sports like Judo and Squash. Tulika Mann won silver medal for India in Judo. But India got a historic victory in the game of squash. India’s experienced player Saurav Ghoshal won the country its first Commonwealth medal in squash. In the men’s singles final, Ghosal defeated James Wilstrop of England 3-0 in straight games to win the bronze medal. After this victory, Ghoshal became emotional and started crying bitterly.

Sourav Ghoshal shook hands with England player Willstrop after the win. All the spectators were seen standing and applauding on his victory. After this Ghoshal went to his kit and there he became emotional. He could not handle his feelings and his tears started coming out. This video of Ghoshal has gone viral on social media. These tears were telling how important this medal is to Ghoshal. By the way, what PM Modi said after Ghoshal’s victory is also winning the hearts of the fans.

PM Modi calls Saurav Ghoshal’s victory historic
PM Modi termed Saurav Ghoshal’s victory as historic. He said that a medal from Ghoshal would further increase the interest of the youth towards the sport of squash in the country.
