Sudarshan Dev Singh, Senior Vice President of Hotel Association of Udaipur and owner of Karohi Haveli Hotel said, “After this incident people started canceling the advance booking. During the monsoon season in the month of July and August, I had a good number of tourists coming for the weekend but after the incident, for the next two months, more than fifty percent of the bookings were canceled during the last five-six days. Said that the tourism industry was already affected due to Corona epidemic and good business was expected this year but this incident has badly affected the image of Udaipur.

Sanjay Kaushak, secretary of Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators in Jaipur said, Udaipur has been a very peaceful city and no such heinous crime has happened till date. This is a setback not only for Udaipur but for the whole of Rajasthan where tourism is a major industry. He said, many tourists visiting Udaipur have canceled their advance booking in view of the incident. Udaipur was the center of tourist attraction due to peaceful environment apart from attractive places but this incident has had a negative impact.

Tourist guide Gajendra Singh Rathod said, we are all shocked by this incident. Usually crimes happen in every city, but this incident has shaken the people of the whole country. Additional Director General of Police Dinesh MN, who was sent from Jaipur to Udaipur after the incident, who served as the Udaipur Superintendent of Police from 2004 to 2007, said there was a need to restore confidence in the city. He said that Udaipur is known for its tourism and a large number of people are associated with it. We need to restore the atmosphere of trust to normalize the situation.
