Commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland’s total sales for the month of June increased by 125 percent to 14,351 units. Ashok Leyland said in a statement on Friday that the company had sold a total of 6,448 units in June, 2021. The company’s total Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV) sales, including exports, grew 238 percent to 9,354 units in June, 2022. It was 2,764 units in June 2021. On the other hand, the company’s total sales of light commercial vehicles increased by 41 per cent to 5,177 units as against 3,684 units in the same month a year ago.

Mahindra & Mahindra

Domestic vehicle maker Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) Ltd on Friday said its passenger vehicle sales grew 59 per cent to 26,880 units in June. The company said in a statement that the company had sold a total of 16,913 passenger vehicles in June 2021. Mahindra’s passenger vehicle segment includes utility vehicles, cars and vans. Last month, the sales of utility vehicles increased by 60 percent to 26,620 units as compared to 16,636 units in the same month last year. Mahindra & Mahindra said the company’s commercial vehicle sales stood at 20,431 units in June. The company also exported 2,777 vehicles in this month.

Royal Enfield

Motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Friday said that its total sales for the month of June increased by 43 percent to 61,407 units. Royal Enfield said in a statement that it had sold a total of 43,048 units in the same period a year ago. The company’s domestic sales in June stood at 50,265 units as against 35,815 units in June 2021. In this way, there has been an increase of 40 percent in domestic sales. According to the statement, Royal Enfield’s exports grew by 54 per cent to 11,142 units as against 7,233 units in the same month last year.

TVS Motors

Sales of TVS Motors in the June quarter have increased by 22 percent to 308,501 units as compared to the previous year. The total sales of two wheelers has increased by 23 percent to 293,715 units in the month of June. At the same time, 33 percent sales have been registered in domestic two-wheeler sales. According to the company, the lack of chips has affected the production of premium two wheelers and the company is taking all possible steps to make up the supply. At the same time, the company’s total exports increased by 8 percent to 1.14 lakh units. The total export of two wheelers has increased by 9 percent.
