Then CSK CEO Kashi Vishwanath made it clear that Rayudu is not retiring and may have tweeted because of the disappointment of his performance. What was the reason for these two actions of Rayudu, it is not clear, but on Sunday 15 May, Rayudu was dropped from the playing XI against Gujarat. In his place, young batsman Narayan Jagadeesan was given a chance. Now questions are being raised whether Rayudu was dropped from the team because of his retirement tweet.
