According to the report, the family, relatives, friends and close friends of DMart founder Radhakrishnan Damani have bought these apartments in Tower B of premium luxury project Three Sixty West on Dr Annie Besant Road in Worli.
Size of each apartment is 5000 sq ft
The seller is Sudhakar Shetty, a businessman-builder who has now sold the last apartment in his share in the project. He had partnered with builder Vikas Oberoi for the redevelopment of the project. The size of each apartment is about 5000 sq ft and it has earned Rs 50 to 60 crores. The entire amount received from the sale of these 23 apartments has been used by Shetty to repay a loan of around Rs 1,000 crore taken from Piramal Finance. Sources close to Shetty told that “he has now returned the money to Piramal.”
Homes sold at discounted rates
Real estate sources said that these houses have been sold at a discounted rate. These houses have been bought in bulk. Besides, Shetty was under pressure to repay the loan. Shetty had also taken a loan of around Rs 400 crore from Hong Kong based SC Lowy, a global banking and asset management group. The talks were going on for the last four to five months between the friends and associates of Shetty and Damani. After all, they have registered the transaction in bulk.

Some big apartments of Three Sixty West were earlier sold for Rs 75 to 80 crores. Last year, IGE (India) Pvt Ltd bought two apartments in the project for Rs 151 crore. The project comprises two towers and was developed by an oasis joint venture between Oberoi Realty and Shetty’s Sahana Group. One tower will house the Ritz Carlton hotel and the other will house the hospitality brand’s management luxury homes.
