This bank will distribute food grains to the families of needy customers and employees for free, started ‘Ghar-Ghar Ration’ program

IDFC FIRST Bank has taken a unique initiative with the aim of helping the families of employees who have lost their lives due to the impact of the Corona pandemic and to be a support to the less come customers. Under this, the bank has started the ‘Ghar Ghar Ration’ program. In which free ration will be distributed to the families of employees and needy customers. For this, the existing employees have contributed through the COVID Customer Care Fund.

V Vaidyanathan, MD & CEO, IDFC First Bank said, “We cannot solve all the problems given the magnitude of the crisis, but we want our customers to help the employees to the extent that they are suffering. Could be less. That is why we have started the “Ghar Ghar Ration” program. Under this program, our employees have contributed their salary ranging from one day to one month to create the COVID Customer Care Fund. We decided to use this fund directly to help our customers whose livelihood has been affected due to COVID-19.

Ration kits are being distributed

Under the ‘Ghar-Ghar Ration’ program of IDFC First Bank, about 50,000 such low-income customers who have been affected due to Corona, have been selected, ration kits are being supplied to them. The ration kit contains 10 kg rice/flour, 2 kg dal (lentils), 1 kg sugar and salt, 1 kg cooking oil, 5 packets of mixed spices, tea and biscuits. It has about a month’s need for supporting a small family. Under the pilot programme, the employees have already successfully distributed 1000 ration kits in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Haryana.

You can directly contact the nearest branch to take this ration kit being distributed by the bank. Apart from this, bank employees are also delivering ration directly to the homes of customers with personal contact. In rural locations, ration kits are physically distributed by employees and in urban locations, employees provide prepaid cards of Rs.
