UPPCS: Pass an exam, more than 50 posts including Deputy Collector, Deputy SP are waiting

Post by UPPSC: Becoming a PCS officer is the dream of lakhs of youth. But not everyone can achieve. There are many reasons for that. This is the biggest exam of any state. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the vacancy on March 3 this month. Those who pass this one exam are going to get appointment on at least four dozen posts. However, this time the vacancy is very less in UP.

In this copy, there is an attempt to solve every question related to UP PCS, which can be in the mind of any youth. Uttar Pradesh State Public Service Commission takes the responsibility of conducting the PCS examination almost every year. It is the work of this organization to remove vacancies, conduct exams and make officers.

What is PCS exam?

The full form of PCS is PROVINCIAL CIVIL SERVICE. It is called Provincial Civil Service in Hindi. Through this exam, officers are recruited for more than four dozen departments including SDM, Deputy SP, Assistant Commissioner Trade Tax, ARTO. Those with top merit are given SDM, then Deputy SP and the rest of the posts below in that sequence. There is a provision to deploy the youth recruited through this examination in the same state from where you have been selected.

Youngsters who aspire to become a PCS officer are expected to understand the seriousness of the exam. Do not try to give this exam lightly. Immerse yourself in the preparation. People have been seen getting success after two years of honest preparation. Do not do anything else during this time. Study on time daily. It would be a good step to start with by going through the syllabus and old question paper.

Who can give the exam?

This is such an exam in which there is no short cut. It is necessary to have 100% command over the subject. Current affairs and general knowledge can be your capital. The attitude of seeing and understanding the country and society is also a part of this exam. For this, graduation from any stream is the first mandatory condition. The minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years. According to reservation, the maximum age is also up to 40 years.

To become a PCS officer, you have to appear in the examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh State Public Service Commission. This exam is done in three stages.

-Preliminary Examination

Main Examination

-Interview

The preliminary examination is usually conducted in two shifts on a single day. All the questions in both the papers are of objective type. The youth face 150 questions. The paper is of 200 marks. Time available is two hours. Minus marking is applicable in this exam. Passing in both the papers is mandatory. The merit of the first paper leads to selection for the main examination. 33% marks in the second paper is mandatory.

PCS mains exam is divided into compulsory and optional subjects. Six papers are of 200 marks and two papers are of 150-150 marks, the total number of compulsory question papers is eight. A list of optional subjects is provided by the commission, one has to choose from this list. The youth who pass it are called for interview. Final merit is prepared by adding the marks of main examination and interview.

Salary of PCS Officer

After being successful in all the three stages, the youth become PCS officers. The only thing about salary, allowances and other facilities is that once the selection is done then all the responsibility is of the state government. Wherever you will be posted, the government will provide all other facilities ranging from car, bungalow, servant-servant.

If you have been posted as SDM, then through promotion DM can become secretary in the government. If done as DSP, then there is a history of promotion till SP, DIG, IG. Speaking in technical language, those who pass this exam will get a salary ranging from Rs 9300-34800 to Rs 15600-39100 according to the sixth pay scale. Grade Pay will be Rs.4600/5400. The only post in this is that of Nayab Tehsildar whose grade pay is Rs 4200.
