He says that he wants to go ahead and become like Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Vicky considers this Indian all-rounder as his role model. Ostwal said in a video posted on the IPL website,

I am not sure whether I will get a chance to play or not but there is always a chance to learn. Sharing the stage with some great players will be very important for me to learn. I got his (Yash Dhul) video call as soon as I was selected in the auction and he was very happy that Delhi Capitals selected me.
