Indian weightlifters continue to perform well in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Weightlifters, who have already won five medals in two days, put another medal in India’s bag. This time in men’s 73 kg, India’s Achint Sheuli won the gold medal. This rising weightlifter from West Bengal, 20 years old, not only created a Commonwealth Games record by lifting 313 kg in his very first Commonwealth Games, but also won the third gold for India. In this way he contributed to the successful weightlifting campaign of India.

India started its medals on the second day of the Games and it started with weightlifting. On Saturday, July 30, this process started with Sanket Sargar’s silver medal and India had won four medals in a single day. In this, star weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won the first gold of the Games for the country, fulfilling all the expectations. Apart from him, Bindiyarani Devi won silver, while Gururaja Pujari won bronze. Then on Sunday, July 31, the second gold medal came in the country’s account and this time 19-year-old Jeremy Lalrinnunga gave this success. He won the second gold in 65 kg with a weight of 303 kg.
