However, the state government asked the school education department to prepare a detailed design regarding the system of reopening the schools. A few days ago, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had asked the state education department to think about reopening schools.

Excitement among children after school opened

After the opening of the school, a lot of enthusiasm has been seen among the children. Primary schools have been opened in West Bengal for the first time after the Corona epidemic. The state government has also closed the Padaya Shikshaalaya and opened a secondary school. Today secondary school also children reached the school. After the announcement of the opening of the school, the cleanliness in the schools had started from yesterday itself. The Chief Minister had said, ‘Higher classes and colleges have been opened and now we need to think about the opening of primary classes. We can also think of starting classes with 50 per cent students. We need to talk to the school authorities whether classes can be held on alternate days.

Bengal government had already opened secondary and higher secondary schools

A senior government official said that the state education department has been asked to submit a detailed design of the system. It is working on the same and the schools will be informed within a short time. The state government has already reopened secondary and higher secondary schools from February and the lower sections of the schools were under pressure to open. Seeing the poor condition of school education, Nobel laureate Abhijit Banerjee had also asked the state government to reopen the schools at the earliest.
