In the year 2018, Bumrah made his Test debut and rocked South Africa. He proved that he can prove to be a dangerous bowler on foreign soil. Ishant has now shared an anecdote in which it has been told that former Team India captain Virat Kohli was once very disappointed with Bumrah, in such a situation, Ishant had given a special advice to Kohli.

Ishant recently shared this anecdote while talking to Cricbuzz. He has said that when Kohli was upset, he told the captain not to talk to Bumrah and leave him on his own. He said, “I knew that day would come when Bumrah would become the leader. I remember in 2018 when we were playing a Test match in Australia and his first spell didn’t go well. Virat told me that, ‘I think I should talk to him.’ I said that he is a very smart bowler. He understands things. Leave him. He knows what to do and what not.
India got the benefit of this. Bumrah was the best bowler of the series. He took 21 wickets in the four-match Test series. Five wicket hall also came to his name. The Indian team won this series 2-1 and created history by winning the Test series in Australia for the first time.
Australia would like revenge
