The World Boxing Championship is being organized in the capital of India, Delhi. In the first two days, many Indian boxers have started with a win, including Nikhat Zareen.

On the second day of the World Boxing Championship, Indian players got a chance to cheer the fans. Commonwealth Games medalist Jasmine Lamboria beat Tanzania’s Nyambega Beatrice by RSC decision and started with a win. (BFI)

Jasmine, who won the bronze medal in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022, won in 90 seconds in the 60 kg category.  Jasmine did not punch with much force but still the Tanzanian boxer could not retaliate.  Earlier on the first day, Nikhat Zareen and Preeti also won their matches on RSC decision when the referee stopped the one-sided match.  (BFI)

Jasmine Shashi also performed brilliantly by defeating Kenya's Mwangi Theresia 5-0 in the 63 kg category.  Due to her aggression, the Indian boxer proved to be very strong against her opponent.  He won the bout easily with his efficient strikes and strong defence.  (BFI)

Now Jasmine will face Tajikistan's Samadova Mijgona in the next round.  At the same time, Shashi will compete with Japan's Kito Mei, who is the silver medalist of the 2022 Asian Championships.  (BFI)

Silver medalist of 2020 Tokyo Olympics Beatriz Soares of Brazil and 2022 World Championship silver winner Emane Khalif of Algeria will also be in the ring for the 66 kg category.  (BFI)
