Wrong treatment of minorities will lead to rift within the country, it will be like Sri Lanka: Rajan

Raghuram Rajan gave the example of Sri Lanka struggling with financial crisis. He said that if employment will not be created in the country and minorities are persecuted, then the situation will become like Sri Lanka.

Atrocities on minorities have to stop.

Former Governor of Reserve Bank Raghuram Rajan Said on Saturday that if there is an attempt to make minorities the second class citizens of the country, then there will be a rift within the country. If such situations arise within the country, then foreign interference will increase. This will weaken India. Rajan said this while addressing the 5th National Conclave organized by All India Professional Congress (AIPC). It was organized in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Keeping his point, Raghuram Rajan gave the example of Sri Lanka struggling with financial crisis. He said that if employment will not be created in the country and minorities are persecuted, then the situation will become like Sri Lanka. The outcome of such a situation can never be good.
