According to a report by ITHome, a new smartwatch from Xiaomi has been approved by China’s 3C certification of Industry and Information Technology on April 29. The smartwatch came with 5W charging support, audio playback and storage functions. The wearable was also spotted with model number M2134W1. The name of this new smartwatch is still not known.
Tipster Digital Chat Station shared on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo that this new smartwatch from Xiaomi will not come with eSIM support. Gizmochina’s One Report According to reports, this new Xiaomi smartwatch can be launched as a successor to Xiaomi Watch Color 2 under the name Xiaomi Watch Color 3.
Xiaomi Watch Color 2 was launched in China in September last year. Talking about the features and specifications, Xiaomi Watch Color 2 sports a 1.43-inch color AMOLED touchscreen that comes with 60Hz refresh rate and 326ppi pixel density. Talking about battery backup, it also has a 470mAh battery and a magnetic charger that provides up to 12 days of battery life on a single charge. 117 sports modes have been given in this watch. For safety, it has been given 5AT water resistant rating and inbuilt GPS for standalone tracking.
Watch Color 2 also did not have eSIM support. Along with the sports mode, it also came with 19 professional sports modes and over 200 customizable watch faces. For health tracking, it has heart monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep monitoring, stress monitoring, breathing guides, menstrual cycle tracking and more. Xiaomi has not yet revealed the details of the upcoming smartwatch ranging from name, launch date and specifications to other things.<!–
